A short monthly newsletter packed with awesome new discoveries and personal recommendations! #Books #Podcasts #Tech #Humour #Psychology #BestOfTheWeb

Happy October, and welcome to the 65th issue of ‘How Curious!’ ✌️
Last month I was in Copenhagen for my first half-marathon. Running with 25,000 others felt amazing, and I was happy to beat my target pace. Now I’m optimising for a speedy 5km. Sub 20mins is the longterm stretch goal! 🇩🇰🏃
I was also back in London for a jam-packed week attending a LegalTech conference and catching up with friends. I’ve three weeks left in Berlin before relocating to the Portuguese seaside again! 🇵🇹🏄‍♂️

My consulting work requires a deep knowledge of emerging technology and trends. I’ve explored many domains over the last few years, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI has been massively over-hyped, with talk of magical robots taking jobs far removed from reality 🪄🤖. Side-stepping the ridiculous headlines, some significant use cases exist for today’s AI-enabled products, such as reducing (not fully removing!) manual work when reviewing 1000s of contracts.
The latest breed of AI products show signs of incredible progress. They still feel very early stage, and the outputs are often junk, but the direction of travel is exciting. I’m keeping a close eye on developments and will sporadically include updates in this newsletter.
Here are a few intro podcasts on the topic:
