Happy April, and welcome to the 33rd issue of ‘How Curious!’ ✌️
This month’s edition comes a little later than normal. I wanted a nice weekend activity to look forward to, but didn’t factor in my apartment springing a leak and a power cut. The months usually fly by but living in lock-down made for a long March! ✍️💌
The past month has been a good reminder that life is unpredictable and our lives are more influenced by randomness than we appreciate. I’ve been relatively fortunate so far but know many that have been affected. Hopefully we see improvements in the near future.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. - Marcus Aurelius
Life is not always a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well. - Jack London
Anyone can hold the helm, when the sea is calm. - Publius Syrus
The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable - Nassim Nicholas Taleb (Currently reading)
Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life: Life-Changing Tools for Healthy Relationships - Rosenberg, Marshall B., Chopra, Deepak (Currently reading)

I’ve listened to far fewer podcasts during lockdown, but found this one particularly inspiring.

Lockdown Life
After a slow and uninspiring start to lockdown I’m now getting into the groove. I’m prone to pressurise myself to use every minute productively but am learning to ease up a little, giving myself the freedom to occasionally binge on Netflix guilt free etc.
Although I’m missing the gym hugely, I’ve recently started to use Strava and aim to log a sub 20min 5km run before this is over. Thanks to Wally for the daily encouragement! 🏃‍♂️
