Happy August and welcome to the 24th issue of ‘How Curious!’ ✌️
The past month kicked off with a relaxing kebab filled holiday in Turkey before setting up my own company and getting the first client contract. It’s been surprisingly fun and liberating, although settling on a company name proved a little more challenging than expected! 🥙🇹🇷
With temperatures peaking around 38°C in London it proved ideal timing to experience swimming in Hampstead Heath ponds, Italian & Mexican street festivals, the Regent Street Summer Festival and an amazing Adidas launch event (HIIT/Run/Yoga) ☀️👟🧘

Calculate your hourly rate 💸
Here is a simple but profound thought exercise.
Imagine I asked you to stand still in a random location in the city centre this weekend, with no phone/books/productive distractions for 1 hour. How much would it take for you to agree, €10/€30/€50/€150?
Your answer gives an indication of your approx hourly rate! Keep this number in mind when reviewing how you spend your time and money.
If outsourcing a task will cost less than your hourly rate, outsource it.
Adopting this mindset a few years ago has encouraged me to spend money to get more free time, avoid tasks I don’t enjoy and remove what are usually trivial problems.
If you’ve got enough money to solve the problem, you don’t have a problem.
